On February 14, a significant meeting of teachers and students of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering with the Chairman of the Union of Builders of Belarus Anatoly Ivanovich Nichkasov took place at Brest State Technical University. The event discussed current issues of the development of the country's construction sector, as well as the role of the younger generation in this important industry.
Anatoly Ivanovich began his speech with an overview of state plans for the development of construction in the country. He emphasized the importance of this sector of the economy as the basis for sustainable growth and prosperity of the state. Particular attention was paid to the rental housing program, which plays a key role in solving the housing problem, especially among young people.
"Young professionals are the future of our industry," Anatoly Ivanovich noted. "It is important to create conditions for them to stay in construction, have decent salaries and career prospects."
In addition, he spoke in detail about the mission and activities of the Union of Builders, emphasizing the importance of the organization's work in supporting and developing the construction complex of the republic.
For many years of fruitful and impeccable work, high professionalism, initiative, as well as for designing a number of unique construction projects in the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Ivanovich Nichkasov presented honorary certificates of the Republican Union of Builders to the Vice-Rector for Research at BrSTU Nikolay Nikolaevich Shalobyte, Professor of the Department of Building Structures at BrSTU Anatoly Yakovlevich Naichuk, Professor of the Department of Geotechnics and Transport Communications at BrSTU Petr Stepanovich Poite and Head of the Department of Concrete and Building Materials Technology at BrSTU Viktor Vladimirovich Tur.
First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Builders Alexander Vladimirovich Kruchanov, who is a graduate of BISI (now BrSTU), spoke to the assembled students. He noted the important role of the university in training highly qualified personnel for the construction industry:
"BrSTU lays a solid foundation of knowledge that helps our specialists successfully cope with complex tasks in practice," said Alexander Vladimirovich.
Alexander Vladimirovich urged students to never give up and be proud of their profession. "We are waiting for you at the largest construction sites in the country! You must maintain the brand of your university!" he concluded his speech, wishing the young people success in their careers.
The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the public association "Belarusian Union of Architects" Alexander Iosifovich Korbut and the director of the subsidiary republican unitary enterprise "Gosstroyexpertiza for the Brest Region" Viktor Evgenievich Sakovsky.
After the official part, a tour of the BrSTU laboratories was organized for the honored guests. Teachers and students demonstrated modern technologies and equipment that are used in the educational process.
This meeting was another step in strengthening ties between the university and the construction community, and also emphasized the importance of training qualified specialists for the development of the construction industry in Belarus.
