On November 1, 2024, an important event took place at the Lyceum in Zhabinka — the grand opening of a new engineering class. The event was held in a festive atmosphere, because this step marked the beginning of a large-scale cooperation between educational institutions and the industry of the region.
The main event of the opening was the signing of a tripartite agreement between the Lyceum in Zhabinka, Brest State Technical University and two leading enterprises of the region — the Zhabinka Sugar Plant and the Brest Meat-Packing Plant. This document secured a long-term partnership aimed at developing technical education and training highly qualified specialists.
The agreement provides for joint activities to create conditions for in-depth study of engineering disciplines among students of the Lyceum. It is important to note that students will have access to modern laboratories and production sites of partner enterprises, which will significantly improve the level of practical training of future engineers.
Interactive platforms representing various faculties of BrSTU were organized for the participants of the event. The students of the lyceum were able to get to know the areas of training, admission conditions, as well as additional opportunities that open up to them during their studies at the university. The students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss prospects for further professional growth and get advice on choosing a specialty.
The grand opening of the engineering class became a significant event in the Brest region. It demonstrates the desire to develop technical education, integrate science and production, and most importantly - the willingness to create conditions for a successful start for future professionals.
