From October 30 to 31, Polesie State University hosted a seminar-meeting of vice-rectors for research work of higher education institutions on the organization and implementation of activities of industry laboratories in the system of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. The seminar-meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Education Bakhanovich Alexander Gennadievich, the head of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus Pekutko Petr Nikolaevich, vice-rectors for research work of higher education institutions. Brest State Technical University was represented by the vice-rector for research work Shalobyta Nikolay Nikolaevich.

The participants discussed current achievements and problems associated with the organization of industry laboratories. Particular attention was paid to improving the quality of research and the implementation of their results in production.

The event featured an exhibition of innovative developments and publications from universities in the Brest region, including developments from BrSTU: modified concrete, efficient hollow-core monolithic reinforced concrete flat discs for ceilings of residential and public buildings, a stand for industrial product labeling, and technology for ion-plasma nitriding of machine parts, cutting and stamping tools.
