The XI International Congress "Library as a Cultural Phenomenon" was held on October 24-25, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
For two days, the National Library of Belarus hosted meetings, sections, round tables, excursions, and exhibitions. Within the framework of which the most important aspects of the library sphere were touched upon in the context of national identity and international cooperation of libraries. More than 450 delegates from 15 countries took part in the congress, more than 100 reports were presented in online, offline, and video formats.
BrSTU was represented at the congress by the director of the library Yulia Vyacheslavovna Azarkevich and the Head of the Reader Services Department Margarita Nikolaevna Panchenko.
The director of the BrSTU library, Yulia Vyacheslavovna Azarkevich, presented a report entitled “Education through memory: the project “Brest – the city of courage and glory” as an example of effective interaction” in the section “Project initiatives and socio-cultural practices of cultural and educational institutions”.
