On October 23, 2024, the first preventive conversation of law enforcement officials with foreign students of the university in the new academic year took place at Brest State Technical University.

Vadim Vasilyevich Rovensky, Deputy Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, reminded those present about the possibility and conditions for legal employment in our country of foreign citizens receiving higher education.

Dmitry Tadeushevich Lyganovsky, Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest City Administration, drew the attention of foreign students to the need to promptly apply for an extension of temporary residence in the Republic of Belarus, as well as for obtaining exit visas for travel outside our country.

During her speech, the officer of the Investigation Department of the military unit of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus Darya Vladimirovna Drivilo touched upon the topic of the need to comply with the rules of being in the restricted border zone and the consequences of attempts to illegally cross the state border.

Summing up the meeting, Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Andrei Antonovich Bosko thanked the law enforcement officers for assisting the university in comprehensively informing foreign citizens on issues of migration legislation and ensuring the safe stay of foreign citizens on the territory of our country during their studies at BrSTU.
