On October 17, Brest State Technical University hosted a career guidance excursion for mathematics and computer science teachers from Brest and the Brest region who are undergoing advanced training at the Brest Regional Institute for Education Development.
The Head of the Physics Department, Tatyana Leonidovna Kushner, conducted an excursion for teachers to the laboratories of radiation safety, mechanics and molecular physics, electricity and magnetism, optics and quantum physics.
At the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology, teachers got acquainted with the material and technical support of the Heating laboratory, the Hertz heating laboratory of the Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation Department. The Head of the department, Vladimir Gennadievich Novoseltsev, spoke in detail about the operation of the equipment and answered questions of concern to teachers.
Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Information Systems Parfievich Andrey Nikolaevich informed the teachers about the main areas of the university's activities, scientific and technical developments, trajectories for admission to our university, the benefits of studying, opportunities for students, and prospects for further employment.
At the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the teachers visited the engineering geodesy room, where the Head of the Department of Geotechnics and Transport Communications Kandybo Svetlana Nikolaevna introduced the existing engineering and geodetic equipment that students use in the learning process. In the geology room, the teachers were interested in the numerous collections of various rocks and minerals. The guests also visited the industry laboratory "Research Center for Innovations in Construction".
