The traditional ceremony of initiation of first-year students into students of Brest State Technical University took place on September 3 at the Ceremonial Square of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex.
The event was attended by: member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, director of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Korkotadze, first secretary of the Brest Regional Committee of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" Yuri Sergeevich Segenyuk, archpriest of the St. Nicholas Garrison Cathedral Father Igor Mikhailovich Zashchuk, Rector of BrSTU Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich, Rector's office, faculty leadership and faculty.
In his address to the first-year students, Alexander Alexandrovich Korkotadze wished them continuous development, success and determination. Yuri Sergeyevich Segenyuk called on the students to work hard, believe in themselves and go for success. Father Igor addressed the students with words of instruction and blessing.
In memory of the heroes who died during the Great Patriotic War, a ceremonial laying of flowers and a minute of silence took place. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, being on the sacred land of the Brest Fortress, each first-year student took an oath to be a worthy citizen of the Republic of Belarus and to honorably bear the title of a student of the Brest State Technical University.
In a solemn atmosphere, the deans of the faculties presented the first-year students with student cards of the university.
