On September 2, a ceremonial lineup dedicated to the Day of Knowledge "My small homeland is Brest State Technical University!" was held on the main square of Brest State Technical University.
The event was attended by the first deputy head of the Moscow district administration Sergei Vitalievich Krachko, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Committee for Architecture and Construction, Head of the Department of Architecture and Territorial Development of Brest Nikolai Nikolaevich Vlasyuk, Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Organization of the Belarusian Professional Union of Education and Science Workers Alexandra Alexandrovna Drapey, priest of the Holy Resurrection Cathedral Father Leonid and other honored guests.
In his speech, the Rector of BrSTU Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich congratulated the students on the beginning of the new academic year and wished them successful acquisition of new knowledge, constructive communication with teachers and overcoming difficulties.
"You have succeeded, you have made the right choice, you have taken a serious step forward. For you, admission to Brest State Technical University is, without a doubt, a step that predetermines not only the coming student years, but also actually determines your future life for a decade ahead," Sergei Antonovich addressed the first-year students.
The chairperson of the primary trade union organization of students Tatyana Vasilyevna Strelkova and the deputy chairperson of the Brest regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers Alexandra Alexandrovna Drapey presented certificates and gifts to the first-year students who scored the highest score upon admission to BrSTU.
The ceremonial assembly ended with performances by student creative groups, which created a festive atmosphere.
