Students and employees of Brest State Technical University, led by Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, took part in ceremonial events dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Also, a delegation from Irkutsk took part in the festive procession of the column to the Brest Hero-Fortress Memorial Complex, each of whose participants carried photographs of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers.
Hundreds of BrSTU students and teachers welcomed the participants of the Victory Parade on the Lenin Street, marched in a festive column and took part in a solemn meeting on Ceremonial Square in the Brest Fortress.
The requiem meeting traditionally began with the laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame and wreaths at the memorial slabs. The memory of the innumerable losses and victims of the Great Patriotic War was honored with a minute of silence.
