On April 20, Brest State Technical University was visited by a prominent state and public figure of the Republic of Belarus, Mikhail Vladimirovich Myasnikovich. Mikhail Vladimirovich is a graduate of the Brest Civil Engineering Institute (BrSTU), Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, is an honorary professor of BrSTU, laureate of the BrSTU HONOUR SIGN.
As part of the visit, the guest of honor met with a team of university employees and students led by Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich. The meeting was attended by honorary graduates from different years, including Pyotr Stepanovich Poyta, professor of the Department of Geotechnics and Transport Communications of BrSTU, rector of the university from 2002 to 2018.
Mikhail Vladimirovich shared with current students his memories of his student years, the importance and significance of this period for future work, and answered questions. During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus, the results of Eurasian integration and the potential for cooperation within the EAEU.
The famous economist donated his own textbooks, scientific works and monographs to his home university.
