On April 18, 2024, as part of the Unified Information Day, a meeting was held between students, teachers and employees of the Brest State Technical University with the Chairman of the Brest City Council of Deputies Filanovich Andrei Andreevich and a member of the Youth Parliament at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, a delegate of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly Pavel Sergeevich Yalovoy.

The central topic of Andrei Andreevich’s speech was a discussion of the role and significance of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, which is the highest representative body of government in Belarus. The All-Belarusian People’s Assembly was created in 1996 and since then has become a symbol of the unity of the Belarusian people and their desire for the development and prosperity of the country. At the meeting, Andrei Andreevich spoke about the features of preparation for the first meeting of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the composition of the delegates, and their powers.

Also during the Unified Information Day, the role and importance of the Youth Parliament, which is a consultative and advisory body under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, was discussed. Pavel Sergeevich spoke about the goals, objectives and activities of the parliament, and how to become a member of the Youth Parliament. The speaker also presented the information and prevention project “Youth Shield”, which is aimed at combating drug trafficking and preventing drug addiction among young people.
