On March 12, 2024, a group of students majoring in “Accounting, Analysis and Audit” from Brest State Technical University visited the Inspection of the Ministry for Taxes and Levies in the Brest region.
During the meeting, Tatyana Vladimirovna Barishina, Deputy Head of the Outreach Department, spoke about the history and structure of the tax authorities of the Republic of Belarus, the main tasks and functions of inspectorates at various levels. Mikhail Nikolaevich Soltanyuk, Head of the Taxation Department for private individuals, spoke about the existing taxation systems for individuals, individual entrepreneurs and special taxation regimes, as well as the procedure for connecting to the “Payer’s Personal Account” service. Bozhuk Vitaly Ivanovich, Head of the Organizational and Personnel Department, spoke about the basic principles and advantages of the state civil service in the Republic of Belarus, and also drew attention to the possibility of undergoing practical training and employment in the tax authorities. Anna Leonidovna Rakovets, Head of the Outreach Department, gave a tour of the payer service center of the Ministry of Taxes Inspections in the Moscovsky and Leninsky districts of Brest, where students became familiar with the functioning of the payer service center, and were also able to evaluate modern approaches to the interaction of the tax authority with payers, information accessibility and modernization of service capabilities in the activities of tax authorities.
The students showed genuine interest in this event and actively asked questions, to which they received qualified answers.
