Today, the chief architect of the Brest region Vlasyuk Nikolay Nikolaevich met with students and teachers of the architectural and civil engineering faculty of the Brest State Technical University.

After graduating from BrSTU with a degree in Architecture in 2002, Vlasyuk Nikolay Nikolaevich remained to work at the graduation department, from 2007 to 2011 he was the head of this department and to this day successfully combines his main activity with teaching.

In different years, he worked as the chief architect of Minsk - chairman of the architecture and urban planning committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee; head of the architecture and urban planning department of the Brest City Executive Committee (chief architect of Brest). Currently, he is the Deputy Chairman of the Architecture and Construction Committee - Head of the Architecture and Territorial Development Department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

As part of the meeting, a presentation of the book "GARDEN CITY. Strategy and tactics of spatial development of the city of Brest: Concept" was held, written by Nikolai Nikolaevich Vlasyuk and based on his knowledge and experience.

The book sets out the key principles of eleven priority strategies-vectors for the development of the city of Brest and its suburbs, aimed at high-quality, environmentally friendly, sustainable development based on identifying and increasing the existing unique resources of the city. Projects, stages of implementation, performance indicators, implementation mechanisms are given.

The students listened to the guest's speech with interest, literally catching every word. Many of them asked questions concerning not only the content of the book, but also Nikolai Nikolaevich's personal experience in the profession. The atmosphere of the meeting was filled with enthusiasm and a desire for new knowledge. Such events not only help to broaden the horizons of future specialists, but also strengthen the connection between the university and the professional community.
