Since the beginning of the new academic year, the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation (HGSV) of Brest State Technical University has been conducting an optional course "In the World of Engineering and Technology: Choosing an Engineering Profession" for students of engineering classes of Gymnasium No. 2 in Brest.

The project started in 2023 and includes a series of events provided for by the annual work plan with engineering classes and the Roadmap for cooperation between the university and UP "Brestoblgaz". This project is supervised by the HGSV Department, as well as the Head of the Physics Department T.L. Kushner and Senior Lecturer of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department M.M. Yukhimuk.

In September, students of engineering classes have already held meetings with the Head of the HGSV Department V.G. Novoseltsev, who introduced them to the laboratory equipment and educational materials of the department. Further expansion of the program is planned, including additional classes in various areas of technical specialties of the university in order to attract talented applicants.

According to the management of the gymnasium, about 19% of this year's gymnasium graduates entered BrSTU in various specialties, which is a record figure in recent years.
