On September 25, a meeting was held at Brest State Technical University between Rector Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich and the heads of general secondary education institutions of Brest and the Brest region. The discussion focused on cooperation in the framework of specialized engineering classes (groups).

The meeting was attended by Tatyana Anatolyevna Chanova, Deputy Head of the Department of General Secondary, Specialized and Vocational Education - Head of the Department of General Secondary and Specialized Education of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, representatives of the State Educational Institution "Brest Regional Institute for Education Development" and 16 heads of general secondary education institutions from different districts: Moskovsky and Leninsky districts of Brest, as well as Brest, Zhabinka, Ivatsevichy, Kamenetsky, Kobrinsky, Malorita and Pruzhany. Another 16 institutions took part in the online format.

The meeting participants discussed areas of interaction with specialized engineering classes (groups) in the 2024/2025 academic year and outlined ways to improve the effectiveness of work with students to orient them toward engineering specialties.

Irina Nikolaevna Trafimova, Director of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School of the Village of B. Motykaly", made a presentation on the topic "Functioning of Engineering Classes (Groups) on the Basis of a General Secondary Education Institution".

Alena Vasilievna Figurina, Director of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 4 of Kobrin Named after Internationalist Soldiers", made a presentation on the topic "From STEM Education to Engineering Classes".
