From August 26 to 29, 2024, in the city of Valdai, Novgorod Region, Russian Federation, a student tourist rally of the Union State was held. The event was attended by 200 young people from universities in Russia and the Republic of Belarus.

The participants of the rally mastered new routes in the Novgorod Region, took part in kayaking, walked many difficult and winding paths and exchanged tourist experiences with invited speakers.

The BrSTU delegation included Andrey Abramchuk, a physical education instructor at the BrSTU sports club, students of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering Evgeny Kasyanik, Anastasia Gavrilova, Ksenia Gritsova, Ekaterina Lyashuk, Anton Kanashuk, as well as students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Maxim Kisel and Ilya Laiter.

Students of Brest State Technical University represented our university with dignity. Evgeniy Kasyanik won first place in the tourist-applied all-around, and Anastasia Gavrilova won third place in the canoeing competition. Maxim Kisel won second place in the rope park competition.

We would also like to congratulate the physical education instructor of the BrSTU sports club, Abramchuk Andrey Sergeevich. He won first place in orienteering, first place in the rope park and second place in the tourist-applied all-around.

The winners in the overall team standings were:

1st place — team #3, which included Evgeniy Kasyanik, Ilya Laiter and Maxim Kisel;

2nd place — team #2, which included Anton Kanashuk, Anastasia Gavrilova and Ksenia Gritsova.

The student tourist rally not only enriched the participants' experience, but also made this summer unforgettable. Our students gained new acquaintances, impressions and adventures. Valdai became a place where they could enjoy the last days of summer and immerse themselves in an atmosphere of unity and friendship.
