International Day of Monuments and Historical Sites has traditionally been celebrated on April 18 since 1984.
The holiday was established by the Assembly of the International Council for the Protection of Monuments and Sites, operating under UNESCO, in 1983. The holiday is necessary in order to draw people's attention to the problems of preserving and protecting our cultural heritage.
As part of this holiday, students of the Civil Engineering Faculty of Brest State Technical University organized an intellectual and educational quiz. The event was organized by group P-362 with their curator Ekaterina Ivanovna Shlyakhova.
At the beginning of the event, Alexander Makarevich gave a report on the history of this holiday. Svetlana Logunova and Victoria Dmitrenko prepared a number of online questions for the event participants on the topic of the cultural heritage of Belarus, which had to be answered on the Kahoot gaming platform. The winners of the quiz were students of group P-362 - Funtyaev Alexander and Nikitina Alexandra, as well as student of group N-17 - Dmitry Datskevich, who received memorable prizes.
